1987, the
Wauwatosa
Historical Society purchased a stately Victorian house,
a coach house, and 1.5 acres of gardens and grounds. The
Kneeland-Walker House is now being used for various
educational programs, preservation work, archival storage,
artifact displays, and community events. This treasure stands
as one of
Wauwatosa
’s greatest community assets. |

Mission
The mission of the Wauwatosa Historical
Society is to preserve and disseminate materials related to
the history of
Wauwatosa
. It supports, encourages, and provides historical education
and preservation for the community. It develops and maintains
community support by serving as a role model for historical
preservation at its headquarters, the Kneeland-Walker House
and
Victorian
Gardens
