Raise The Roof

The Wauwatosa Historical Society has replaced the 50 year old cedar roof on its headquarters and educational programming site, the 1890 Victorian Kneeland-Walker House.

Research Library Compromised

After discovering dampness and water stains in the ceiling areas of our Research Library, we decided to protect all of our research and archival materials by moving them to different areas of the House, temporarily closing the Research Library to the public.

FJA Christiansen Roofing Co., completed work in October, providing the Kneeland-Walker House and Coach House with a historically accurate, well-executed new cedar roof that will last for many years to come.

Project Costs

The total cost of this project was $152,000.

$60,000 is still needed to reach that goal.
